CFDA’s preliminary NYFW calendar listed 70 runway shows and designer presentations
CFDA’s July 1 preview paired spring-summer 2027 newcomers with a fur-free policy announced in September 2025.

In a preliminary calendar published July 1, 2026, the CFDA scheduled New York Fashion Week for Thursday, September 10, through Tuesday, September 15. It listed 70 runway shows and designer presentations, along with collections shown by appointment and in digital formats. Henry Zankov’s first collection as artistic director for Diane von Furstenberg was scheduled to open the official week; Thom Browne was scheduled to close it.
Magda Butrym, Sabyasachi and High Sport were among the names new to the official schedule; Monse, Tommy Hilfiger and threeASFOUR returned. Ralph Lauren, Coach and others were listed for September 9, before the official opening.
The calendar said the CFDA’s fur-free policy, announced in September 2025, would go into effect for every brand showing on the official schedule.
What the calendar did and did not show
The July 1 page was a preview of the spring-summer 2027 week, not a record of completed shows. It documents CFDA’s announced roster, formats and rules, but it does not show that every listed detail happened as planned.
