Microsoft Centers Its Ignite 2026 Security Program on AI Agents
The November program will examine the identities, data and cloud resources that AI agents can access while previewing Microsoft's security roadmap.

Microsoft published its Ignite 2026 security guide on September 30, 2026. The event is scheduled for November 17 through 20 in San Francisco and online, with four security themes across its four days and a security segment in the keynote.
Microsoft is focusing the program on AI agents that can act with access to organizational identities, data and cloud resources. It plans to discuss the implications for architecture, security operations centers and governance while presenting its security roadmap, new announcements and products expected to ship next. The guide does not name those releases or say that they are already available.
A security program before the main event
A four-hour Security Pre-Day is scheduled for Monday, November 16, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time. Designed for security decision-makers and practitioners, it will combine presentations with interactive roundtables and ask-me-anything sessions involving Microsoft security leaders and outside industry participants.
Microsoft Intelligent Security Association members are also scheduled to demonstrate their solutions at the Expert Meetup Hub from November 17 through 19. Microsoft describes its broader platform as protecting identities, devices, data, applications, clouds, infrastructure and AI agents. The guide presents the company's planned event program and platform positioning; it does not report a breach, active exploitation or an independent assessment of the platform.
